We value belonging, compassion, community, growth, gratitude, healing and joy, and we practice these values on and off of our mats.
STUDIO POLICIES AND ETIQUETTE
Preregistration is available online through our Mind Body software and is required to secure your space in our classes. Payment and waivers are processed through this application or in-studio should you require assistance (please keep in mind we are a cash-free studio). We are currently only accepting credit card, debit and e-transfer payment.
Please visit the sign-in desk before class to check-in
Do your best to arrive 5-15 minutes early to class, allowing time to sign in, prepare and ground yourself for practice. Being a small studio, we are often operating the front and studio space independently, meaning the front door needs to be locked at the class start for safety and security. We start our classes on time and will not accept any late entry to classes for this reason. We open our doors 15 minutes before class start- should you arrive earlier than this, we kindly request you wait in your car to allow us sufficient time to prepare our space to teach.
Our practice rooms are silent, sacred and clutter-free spaces. Please leave your conversations in our lounge and your belongings where space is provided in our coat and change room. Please do not bring your phone into the studio room. We encourage connection at our studio, but we have to also be mindful of members who arrive early for quiet meditation- there will be an opportunity to chat after class.
You can cancel your class online or through our app up to 2 hour before class start time to avoid losing a class pass. We do not accept email or phone cancellations.
If you have registered and secured a space in class and you don’t show up it means that someone else could not get into the class. If you have a class card, the class you missed will be automatically deducted. If you have an unlimited pass, your permission to continue with us on an unlimited basis will be permanently discontinued after 3 missed classes. We have limited spaces available for each practice, and allowing us at least 2 hours notice in canceling allows another member to access the spot in our busier classes. If you are an u unlimited member who has missed 3 classes in a one-month period, your membership will be paused at this time and you will be required to pay a late cancellation fee of $15 + tax to resume your membership.
If you have chosen to waitlist for a class, this is up to you to manage. If this timeslot no longer works for you, you need to cancel your space on the waitlist just as you would cancel a regularly booked class. MINDBODY will automatically place you into a class when space becomes available up to 2 hours before class starts, at which time, the booking is closed. You will be notified by email when this happens. (You can check in the app to see how many people are in front of you on a waitlist to help with your planning).
No refunds, holds or extensions on any Class Passes or memberships. Class passes have a one year expiration date and memberships expire in the timeline you choose at purchase. Unlimited memberships do not include most specialty programs, events or workshops.
Beginnings Yoga Studio does not hold regular business hours, we open specifically for classes and for those registered for those classes. If you are wishing to visit prior to booking, making arrangements for this is recommended so that we know to expect you.
Beginnings Yoga Studio has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination based on age, gender, sexuality, mental or physical disability, body type, race, religion or political belief.
We love what we do!
We want to share our passion with you.
At Beginnings Yoga Studio, our team is dedicated to supporting and inspiring you and the unique yoga journey you're walking through. We are mindful that our paths weave and wind in different directions, meaning we all need to experience different lessons to feel what resonates most deeply with us as an individual. But just as these paths can pull away, they also cross and come together and Beginnings Yoga Studio prides itself on being a place to facilitate this unity.
Similar to how all of our students bring a unique presence to their mats, our teachers all have a different style and spirit too. This is a product of who their collective teachers are, where they've traveled and trained, and the personal transformation they've experienced along the way.
With all of our collective differences, one thing is constant- we have an amazing team of highly trained instructors and you're always in the best hands. You can expect to be welcomed and made to feel comfortable from the moment you walk through our doors. We are honoured to be a part of your yoga journey- thank you for choosing Beginnings Yoga Studio!
